What was life like before you met Jesus?

I was raised in an Episcopal church family, but I was confused. The church used the King James version of the Bible with a lot of ‘thee’s and ‘thou’s. The bible to me was chopped up readings. My church attendance was more of a bother and a religious ceremony than a personal relationship with Christ. I may have committed my life to Christ when I attended a revival back in the 70's, but I certainly didn't live it. I spent my early adulthood far from Christ living a life full of sin.

How did you meet Jesus?

I became tired of where my life was going and it's emptiness, so I dropped to my knees when I had enough. I prayed and committed my life to Christ. I prayed that I would meet a godly woman too and I started going to church again. Praise God, who introduced me to my future wife shortly after. We started going to a Christian singles group and a Bible church together. We were married a few years later and have been blessed with four wonderful kids.

After being saved by Jesus what is your life like now?

Through His blessing, I give glory to God that Jesus is now my Lord and Savior today and forever. He is there for me and my family as we live through life's struggles and enjoy life's many blessings. One verse comes to mind from my current Bible reading that reminds me of what Christ has done by his grace and my hope through faith for today and forever – Romans 8:1-2 “There is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.”
