What was life like before you met Jesus?
Honestly, I can't remember a whole lot. I do know that I didn’t handle conflict well, I would tend to let little things get to me. I would get really mad when it wasn’t necessary. I wasn’t very good about turning from my sin.
How did you meet Jesus?
I grew up in a Christian home going to church and Sunday school. In 2014 I accepted Christ after my brother had accepted him a few months before. In the past year or two, I have really seen God help me to overcome sins in my life, and ultimately grow closer to Him. Romans 5:8 says: ‘God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
After being saved by Jesus what is your life like now?
Since I gave my life to God, I no longer struggle with self perception because I know that God always loves me and that I never have to worry about him letting me down. In the last few years I have noticed that I don't get as angry and I can work through conflicts better as well as turning away from other sins. Romans 10:9 says ‘if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.’ As a Christian I feel that I am called to be baptized.
