Veritas Church Family,
In case you missed our announcement this past Sunday, I wanted to make sure you knew about some sad and exciting news. Ryan Hill and his family will be heading out to be a part of a new network church plant. The Hills have meant so much to this church, and gospel goodbyes are always hard, but we are excited about the new work ahead of them. Ryan will be joining Paul Sabino from Candeo Church in Cedar Falls and a team of others heading to Gainesville Fl, where the University of Florida is located.
This is really the Salt Network breaking into a new region, and Ryan’s administrative, as well as pastoral, gifts will be of great help for this new adventure. The timeline of this transition is still being worked out, but we will keep you informed.
Our involvement in this new ministry adventure is more than just the sending of the Hill family. We are committing to financially supporting this new church as they get started out, and as our ministry involvement increases we need generosity to continue to be an increasing characteristic of all of us. We are also asking anyone who may have an interest in moving down to be a part of this new church plant to be praying about that as well. There will be more information about that as things unfold.
Being a part of a church that wants to continue to play an active role in church planting will involve the sending out of leaders, and it will also create opportunities for new leaders to emerge as well. I am so excited about the team we have as a staff and the numerous volunteer leaders of this church who give and serve so faithfully to shape this community for the cause of Christ. Out of the overflow of God’s blessings to us in these last five years, we are thrilled to be a blessing to this new gospel work in Florida. And as we seek to be faithful followers of Jesus, we continue to look forward to what God has in store for us here and beyond.
