What was life like before you met Jesus?

I grew up attending church my whole life but 3 years ago I stopped attending church on Sundays making my social life more of a priority then making God a Priority. I soon realized my life was messy. I kept putting myself around people who were making bad choices and I was trying to become a person I really wasn't. A person God didn’t have planned for my life. I know God has plans for me but I I wasn’t going to find out what those plans were if I don’t make time for him. Jeremiah 29:11 says “for I know I have the plans for you, and plans not to not harm you, plans to give hope and a future.” I had heard that scripture repeatedly growing up but when I was really struggling to find my true self in Christ I needed to make some changes and that first change was to have a relationship with Jesus be a priority in my Life!

How did you meet Jesus?

I knew I needed Jesus when I had the realization that everything in my life seemed to be going downhill. I wasn't making the greatest life choices and I definitely was not hanging around the right friends. About two years ago I started wanting to go to church and draw near to God. My youth leaders are amazing and their love for Jesus just pours-out into each of us every week. I attended a small gathering at a youth leaders home and many of my questions were answered. I accepted Jesus into my life and I haven’t looked back since. Corinthians 5:17 says “This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun”!

After being saved by Jesus what is your life like now?

Being a follower of Jesus my life seems pretty well put together. I am not perfect by any means but I am definitely much more confident in proclaiming that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and willing to share the Gospel with others and tell about how God has shown up in my life in times when I needed him most. People who have yet to experience the importance of having Jesus in their life are really missing out. He made the ultimate sacrifice for us, for me. He LOVES us. He LOVES me. 1 John 2:25 says “And this is the promise that he made to us - ETERNAL LIFE!”
